From temple of the muses to music temple

Austria’s largest private museum, which is located in southern Carinthia and contains a collection focused primarily on contemporary art, is about to open its doors for a newly founded series of concerts. Under the title sonusiade, the architecturally impressive museum is to transform itself into a concert hall and offer an interplay between images and sounds that is intended to guarantee inspiring, artistic enjoyment and reach out to an inquisitive audience.

This concert series owes its creation to the enthusiasm of the Liaunig family for chamber music and I am delighted to be able to present you with the first sonusiade, which will consist of three concerts and a literary-musical evening, all of which will have attractive admission prices.

May I offer you a most cordial invitation to join me south of the Drau in order to delight in this display of musical fireworks.

Yours sincerely, Janez Gregorič, Artistic Director
